Strength Spectrum

Why:

We are more likely to find success by playing to our strengths, which means we need to be aware of them first.

Warm-Up:

Could you name one strength and one weakness of yours?

Exploration:

Imagine four boxes on a horizontal line on your page. The far right box is labeled Super Strengths: areas that you are unusually good at. To the left of it are regular Strengths: you're better at this than the average person, but so are many others. To the left are Weaknesses: things you're not great at. On the far left are Derailers: the weaknesses that make things go really wrong in your life when they appear. Could you find at least one item in each box? Then the trick is: forget about your Weaknesses. Protect yourself by getting help for your Derailers. And most importantly, play to your Super Strengths. How could you spend more time using those?
