Choosing the right amount of challenge is key for our happiness and growth.
Warm-Up:
When you're in your comfort zone, relaxed as can be, what kinds of things do you do?
Exploration:
We each have three zones we can be in at any given moment. A comfort zone, where we feel as relaxed as possible. A challenge zone, where we're working and learning and growing. And a panic zone, where things are overwhelmingly stressful. Can you think of one activity or situation in your life for each of these zones? Which zone are you in the most? When you're in the panic zone, how do you get out? A healthy life will involve time in all three zones, but we'll grow the most if we visit the panic zone only rarely, and the challenge zone often.
